While miso soup is commonly available in freeze dried form, the Kagoshima Miso Soup by Veg-An is prepared using fresh barley miso paste imported from Kagoshima prefecture in southern Japan, and served with kelp seaweed and freshly boiled vegetables. Unlike common miso soup, which is light and salty, the Kagoshima miso soup has a slightly sweet but rich flavour, which surprises many of our customers.
